A whole health system on one page.
Dense content. The framework covers structures, core domains, processes and outcomes across Australia's health system.
Many audiences. It had to make sense to health leaders, policy makers and the public.
Built to last. AIHW's team needed to keep using and updating the material after we finished.

What we did
Design the model, then the system.
We worked through the framework in tranches, starting with the conceptual model and building the documents around it.
The conceptual model
A single visual showing how health system levers, core domains and outcomes connect, with a person-centred core.
A colour system
A palette led by Royal Indigo and Eucalyptus Mist, with warm secondary colours for clear contrast.
Documents the team can edit
Editable documents and templates so AIHW can produce on-brand material without us.
