A 12-metre installation, made for the scroll

The challenge
Hard to describe, easy to show.
An Australian first. Heaven's Gate is an installation, not an exhibition, and that was hard to market with static images.
Scale. A 12-metre screen, smaller screens and mirrors had to read on a phone.
A tight budget. The brief moved from a long walk-through to short social trailers that would drive visits.

What we did
Show the scale.
We used NFSA staff as talent for human scale and built the trailer around reflections of the screens on their faces.
A one-page reverse brief
We wrote the creative plan after kick-off so everyone agreed on the shots before the shoot.
Half-day shoot
A morning on site with NFSA staff on camera, and a first edit back two days later.
Graphics in their style
Motion graphics matched to the NFSA's own trailer style, with clean versions supplied too.

The results
Ready for the opening.
- 15 and 30-second trailers in 16:9 and vertical.
- Clean 30-second versions without graphics for the NFSA's own use.
- A first edit with the client two days after the shoot.
